The rider does not stop. With safety belts, you slow down as the vehicle does. You get more time to stop. You stop over more distance, and your strongest bones take the forces. That is why safety belts make such good sense. Questions and Answers About Safety Belts Will I be trapped in the vehicle after an. You may be an excellent driver, but if you are in an accident — even one that is not your fault — you and your passengers can be hurt. Being a good driver does not protect you from things beyond your control, such as bad drivers. Here is how to wear it properly. 1. Close and lock the door. 2. Adjust the seat so you can sit up straight. To see how, see “Seats” in the Index. 3. It may be necessary to pull stitching on the safety belt through the latch plate to fully tighten the lap belt on smaller occupants. The lap part of the belt should be worn low and snug on the hips, just touching the thighs. The shoulder belt is too loose. It will not give nearly as much protection this way. CAUTION: You can be seriously hurt if your shoulder belt is too loose. In a crash, you would move forward too much, which could increase injury. The lap belt is too loose. CAUTION: You can be seriously hurt if your lap belt is too loose. In a crash, you could slide under the lap belt and apply force at your abdomen. The belt is buckled in the wrong place. CAUTION: You can be seriously injured if your belt is buckled in the wrong place like this. In a crash, the belt would go up over your abdomen. The belt is over an armrest. CAUTION: You can be seriously injured if your belt goes over an armrest like this. The belt would be much too high. In a crash, you can slide under the belt. The belt force would then be applied at the abdomen, not at the pelvic bones, and that could cause serious or fatal injuries. The shoulder belt is worn under the arm. It should be worn over the shoulder at all times. CAUTION: You can be seriously injured if you wear the shoulder belt under your arm.

GENERAL MOTORS and GM are registered trademarks and the name OUTLOOK is a trademark of General Motors Corporation. This manual includes the latest information at the time it was printed. We reserve the right to make changes after that time without further notice. A box with the word CAUTION is used to tell about things that could hurt you or others if you were to ignore the warning. CAUTION: These mean there is something that could hurt you or other people. Notice: These mean there is something that could damage your vehicle. A notice tells about something that can damage the vehicle. Many times, this damage would not be covered by your vehicle’s warranty, and it could be costly. The sudden movement could startle and confuse you, or make you push a pedal when you do not want to. See Manual Seats on page 9 for more information. To raise the seat, move the lever upward repeatedly until the seat is at the desired height. Press and release either button 1 or button 2 corresponding to the desired driving position. The sudden movement could startle and confuse you, or make you push a pedal when you do not want to. Head Restraints Adjust the head restraint so that the top of the restraint is at the same height as the top of the occupant’s head. This position reduces the chance of a neck injury in a crash. Be sure to return the seat to the passenger seating position. To return the seatback to the seating position: 1. Raise the seatback into place by using the pullstrap from the rear of the vehicle, or by pushing it into place from inside the vehicle. 2. Removing the Third Row Seats 1. Remove the cargo management system, if it is in the vehicle. It also tells you some things you should not do with safety belts. CAUTION: Do not let anyone ride where he or she cannot wear a safety belt properly. If you do have a crash, you do not know if it will be a bad one. A few crashes are mild, and some crashes can be so serious that even buckled up, a person would not survive.

Although you cannot see them, they are part of the safety belt assembly. They help tighten the safety belts during the early stages of a moderate to severe frontal, near frontal or side crash or a rollover if the threshold conditions for pretensioner activation are met. What is the proper way to wear safety belts. An older child should wear a lap-shoulder belt and get the additional restraint a shoulder belt can provide. Here two children are wearing the same belt. The belt cannot properly spread the impact forces. In a crash, the two children can be crushed together and seriously injured. A belt must be used by only one person at a time. Here a child is sitting in a seat that has a lap-shoulder belt, but the shoulder part is behind the child. If the child wears the belt in this way, in a crash the child might slide under the belt. This includes infants and all other children. Neither the distance traveled nor the age and size of the traveler changes the need, for everyone, to use safety restraints. In fact, the law in every state in the United States and in every Canadian province says children up to some age must be restrained while in a vehicle. A baby does not weigh much — until a crash. During a crash a baby will become so heavy it is not possible to hold it.Airbags plus lap-shoulder belts offer protection for adults and older children, but not for young children and infants. Neither the vehicle’s safety belt system nor its airbag system is designed for them. Add-on child restraints, which are purchased by the vehicle’s owner, are available in four basic types. Selection of a particular restraint should take into consideration not only the child’s weight, height, and age but also whether or not the restraint will be compatible with the motor vehicle in which it will be used. A young child’s hip bones are still so small that the vehicle’s regular safety belt may not remain low on the hip bones, as it should.

In a crash, your body would move too far forward, which would increase the chance of head and neck injury. The belt is twisted across the body. CAUTION: You can be seriously injured by a twisted belt. In a crash, you would not have the full width of the belt to spread impact forces. The belt should go back out of the way. When the safety belt is not in use, slide the latch plate up the safety belt webbing. The latch plate should rest on the stitching on the safety belt, near the guide loop on the side wall. Like all occupants, they are more likely to be seriously injured if they do not wear safety belts. A pregnant woman should wear a lap-shoulder belt, and the lap portion should be worn as low as possible, below the rounding, throughout the pregnancy. Accident statistics show that unbelted people in the rear seat are hurt more often in crashes than those who are wearing safety belts. Rear passengers who are not safety belted can be thrown out of the vehicle in a crash. Pull up on the latch plate to make sure it is secure. When the shoulder belt is pulled out all the way, it will lock. If it does, let it go back all the way and start again. In a crash, this applies force to the strong pelvic bones. And you would be less likely to slide under the lap belt. If you slid under it, the belt would apply force at your abdomen. For outboard seating positions, when the safety belt is not in use, slide the latch plate up the safety belt webbing. The latch plate should rest on the stitching on the safety belt, near the guide loop on the side wall. Here is how to install a comfort guide to the safety belt: Outboard Positions 1. For the outboard positions, remove the guide from its storage clip on the interior body. The elastic cord must be under the belt. The person wearing the belt could be seriously injured. The shoulder belt should go over the shoulder and across the chest. These parts of the body are best able to take belt restraining forces.

It is better to secure the child restraint in a rear seat. If your child restraint has the LATCH system, see Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) on page 61. Wearing your safety belt during a crash helps reduce your chance of hitting things inside the vehicle or being ejected from it. Do not sit unnecessarily close to the airbag, as you would be if you were sitting on the edge of your seat or leaning forward. The system checks the airbag electrical system for malfunctions. The light tells you if there is an electrical problem. See Airbag Readiness Light on page 212 for more information. Driver Side shown, Passenger Side similar The seat-mounted side impact airbags for the driver and right front passenger are in the side of the seatbacks closest to the door. In moderate to severe frontal or near frontal collisions, even belted occupants can contact the steering wheel or the instrument panel. In moderate to severe side collisions, even belted occupants can contact the inside of the vehicle. Airbags supplement the protection provided by safety belts. This dust could cause breathing problems for people with a history of asthma or other breathing trouble. To avoid this, everyone in the vehicle should get out as soon as it is safe to do so. The passenger airbag status indicator will be visible on the instrument panel when you start your vehicle. United States The words ON and OFF, or the symbol for on and off, will be visible during the system check. Even though the passenger sensing system is designed to turn off the right front passenger’s frontal and seat-mounted side impact airbag if the system detects a. When the passenger sensing system has turned off the right front passenger’s frontal airbag and seat-mounted side impact airbag, the off indicator will light and stay lit to remind you that. When the passenger sensing system has allowed the airbags to be enabled, the on indicator will light and stay lit to remind you that the airbags are active.

The harness system holds the infant in place and, in a crash, acts to keep the infant positioned in the restraint. A forward-facing child seat (C-E) provides restraint for the child’s body with the harness and also sometimes with surfaces such as T-shaped or shelf-like shields. A booster seat can also help a child to see out the window. Make sure the child restraint is properly installed in the vehicle using the vehicle’s safety belt or LATCH system, following the instructions that came with that restraint,. One system, the three-point harness, has straps that come down over each of the infant’s shoulders and buckle together at the crotch. This system is designed to make installation of a child restraint easier. The LATCH system uses anchors in the vehicle and attachments on the child restraint that are made for use with the LATCH system. A top tether anchor is built into the vehicle. The top tether attachment (B) on the child restraint connects to the top tether anchor in the vehicle in order to reduce the forward movement and rotation of the child restraint during driving or in a crash. To assist you in locating the top tether anchors, the top tether anchor symbol is located on the trim cover or near the anchor. This anchor should be used for the center seating position only. Never install two top tethers using the same top tether anchor. Do not secure a child restraint in the right front passenger position or the third row outboard seating positions, if a national or local law requires. In a crash, the child could be seriously injured or killed. Secure any unused safety belts behind the child restraint so children cannot reach them. Pull the shoulder belt all the way out of the retractor to set the lock, if your vehicle has one, after the child restraint has been. A rear seat is a safer place to secure a forward-facing child restraint. See Where to Put the Restraint on page 59. In addition, your vehicle has a passenger sensing system.

If an object is in the way of the window as it is express-closing, or in certain weather conditions like severe icing, the window will stop and open to a factory preset position. The window functions normally once the obstruction is removed. Although your vehicle has a number of theft-deterrent features, we know that nothing we put on it can make it impossible to steal. Content Theft-Deterrent Your vehicle may have a content theft-deterrent alarm system. It activates only if you use the power door lock switch with the door open or the RKE transmitter. You should also remember that you can start your vehicle with the correct ignition key if the alarm has been set off. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1. At this time, you may also want to check the fuse, see Fuses and Circuit Breakers on page 476. If the engine still does not start with the other key, your vehicle needs service. The SERVICE THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM message displays on the Driver Information Center (DIC) when there is a problem with the theft-deterrent system. A (OFF): This is the only position in which you can remove the key. This position locks the ignition and transmission. Notice: Using a tool to force the key from the ignition switch could cause damage or break the key. If you leave the key in the ignition and park your vehicle, a chime will sound when you open the driver’s door. Move your shift lever to PARK (P) or NEUTRAL (N). To restart when you are already moving, use NEUTRAL (N) only. When using the Electronic Range Select Mode a number will display next to the L, indicating the current gear that has been selected. See Electronic Range Select mode in this section for more information. If you cannot shift out of PARK (P), ease pressure on the shift lever, then push the shift lever all the way into PARK (P) as you maintain brake application. It provides the best fuel economy for your vehicle. This means that all gears below that number are available.

For example, when FOURTH (4) is shown next to the L, FIRST (1) through FOURTH (4) gears are automatically shifted by the vehicle. It maintains the vehicle’s speed by automatically implementing a shift schedule that uses the engine and the transmission to slow the vehicle. This reduces wear on the brakes system and increases control of the vehicle. Push down momentarily on the parking brake pedal with your left foot until you feel the pedal release, then slowly pull your foot up off the park brake pedal. See Automatic Transmission Operation on page 129. It contains the gas carbon monoxide (CO), which you cannot see or smell. It can cause unconsciousness and death. But if you ever have to, here are some things to know. CAUTION: Idling the engine with the climate control system off could allow dangerous exhaust into your vehicle. Hold the mirror in the center to move it up or down and side to side. There is a compass display in the window in the upper right corner of the mirror face. The number shown is the current zone number. 3. Press (A) to select the driver’s side mirror or (B) to select the passenger’s side mirror. Press either (A) or (B) again to deselect the mirror. To adjust each mirror, press one of the four arrows located on the control pad to move the mirror in the direction you want it to go. Then press the arrows located on the four-way control pad to adjust the mirror. See Automatic Dimming Rearview Mirror with OnStar Compass on page 139. Curb View Assist If your vehicle has the memory package, the outside mirrors are able to perform the curb view assist mirror function. The mirrors will heat to help clear fog or frost from the surface of the mirror. If there is one triangular Light Emitting Diode (LED) indicator light above the Universal Home Remote buttons, follow the instructions under Universal Home Remote System Operation. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1. This device may not cause harmful interference. 2.

See “Safety Belts” and “Child Restraints” in the Index for additional information about the importance of proper restraint use. CAUTION: Stowing of articles under the passenger’s seat or between the passenger’s seat cushion and seatback may interfere with the proper operation of the passenger sensing system. See Safety Belt Reminder Light on page 211 for more information. A damaged restraint system may not properly protect the person using it, resulting in serious injury or even death in a crash. To help make sure your restraint systems are working properly after a crash, have them inspected and any necessary replacements made as. They could operate the power windows or other controls or even make the vehicle move. The windows will function with the keys in the ignition and they could be seriously injured or killed if caught in the path of a. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1. This device may not cause interference. 2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device. However, the operating range may be less while the vehicle is running. There are other conditions which can affect the performance of the transmitter. Pressing the unlock button on the RKE transmitter will disarm the content theft-deterrent system. The battery is weak if the transmitter will not work at the normal range in any location. If you have to get close to your vehicle before the transmitter works, it is probably time to change the battery. Remote Vehicle Start Your vehicle may have a remote starting feature. This feature allows you to start the engine from outside of the vehicle. After the key is removed from the ignition, the vehicle can be remote started again. The vehicle cannot be remote started if the key is in the ignition, the hood is not closed, or if there is an emission control system malfunction. When a door is locked, the handle will not open it.

You increase the chance of being thrown out of the vehicle in a crash if the doors are not locked. These prevent passengers from opening the rear doors from the inside. The rear door security locks are located on the inside edge of each rear door. You must open the rear doors to access them. If the driver’s side power door lock switch is pressed when the driver’s door is open and the key is in the ignition, all of the doors will lock and then the driver’s door will unlock. See Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) System Operation on page 100. To open the liftgate, press the touchpad on the underside of the liftgate handle. See Power Liftgate on page 110. Your vehicle may have a power liftgate. The vehicle must be in PARK (P) to use the power feature. Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) System Operation on page 100 for more information. If you shift the transmission out of PARK (P) and accelerate before the power liftgate latches closed, the liftgate may reverse to the open position. With the power liftgate disabled and all of the doors unlocked, the liftgate can be manually opened and closed. To open the liftgate, press the touchpad on the handle on the outside of the liftgate, and lift the gate open. They can be overcome by the extreme heat and suffer permanent injuries or even death from heat stroke. Never leave a child, a helpless adult, or a pet alone in a vehicle, especially with the windows closed in warm or hot weather. They can be overcome from extreme heat in warm or hot weather and suffer permanent injuries or even death from heat stroke. Leaving children in a vehicle with the ignition key is dangerous for many reasons, children or others could be badly. The power windows work when the ignition has been turned to ACCESSORY or ON or when Retained Accessory Power (RAP) is active. See Retained Accessory Power (RAP) on page 125. Press the switch to lower the window.

This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. This device complies with RSS-210 of Industry Canada. Because of the steps involved, it may be helpful to have another person available to assist you in the programming steps Keep the original hand-held transmitter for use in other vehicles as well as for future Universal Home Remote programming. Release both buttons. 5. Press and hold the newly-trained Universal Home Remote button and observe the indicator light. This may not be long enough for Universal Home Remote to pick up the signal during programming. Similarly, some U.S. gate operators are manufactured to time out in the same manner. Because of the steps involved, it may be helpful to have another person available to assist you in programming the transmitter. Be sure to keep the original remote control transmitter for use in other vehicles, as well as, for future programming. Locate the “Learn” or “Smart” button. It can usually be found where the hanging antenna wire is attached to the motor-head unit and may be a colored button. Press this button. After you press this button, you will have 30 seconds to complete the following steps. Programming a garage door opener involves time-sensitive actions, so read the entire procedure before you begin. If you do not follow these actions, the device will time out and you will have to repeat the procedure. The indicator lights will turn on. 6. Press and hold the button you would like to use to control the garage door until the garage door moves. Use the key to lock and unlock. Cupholder(s) There are two cupholders, with removable liners, located in front of the center console. There are cupholders located in the second row seat armrest. This allows the mat to remain in position under your feet and out of reach of the accelerator and brake pedal.

Load cargo so that it rests as far forward as possible and against the side rails, making sure to fasten it securely. To open, pull the handle toward the rear of the vehicle and lift the cover up. There is an additional storage compartment on each side of the system. The rear sunroof does not open. The switches to operate the front sunroof and rear sunshade are located on the headliner above the rearview mirror. See Instrument Panel Cluster on page 210. See Heated Seats on page 12. S. See Glove Box on page 161.To tilt and telescope the steering wheel, pull down the lever. Then move the steering wheel up or down or backward or forward into a comfortable position. The lever will return by itself when you release it.If the headlamps are on, they will return to low-beam when the lever is released. This feature operates even when the headlamps are off. The wipers clear the windshield and either stop or return to the preset speed. The ignition key must be in ACCESSORY or ON for this to work. This can really help on long trips. When you apply your brakes, cruise control is turned off. The cruise control light on the instrument panel cluster comes on after the cruise control has been set to the desired speed. See Fog Lamps on page 184. Delayed Headlamps The delayed headlamps feature provides a period of exterior lighting as you leave the area around your vehicle. The other lamps that come on with the headlamps will also come on. When it is bright enough outside, the headlamps will go off and the DRL will come on. The lamps can also be turned on by turning the instrument panel brightness control clockwise to the farthest position. In this position, the dome lamps will remain on until they are turned off. The ignition must be off for delayed entry lighting to work.

Press the button to turn them on and off. Electric Power Management The vehicle has Electric Power Management (EPM) that estimates the battery’s temperature and state of charge. It then adjusts the voltage for best performance and extended life of the battery. If any of these lamps are left on, they will automatically turn off after 10 minutes, if the ignition is off. This distance may be less during warmer or humid weather. URPA comes on automatically when the shift lever is moved into REVERSE (R).Your vehicle may have four accessory power outlets. They are located on the instrument panel below the climate controls, inside the front center console storage bin, at the rear of the center console, and in the rear cargo area. If you try to use equipment that requires more than the limit, a protection circuit will cut the power supply. Manual Operation (Fan): Turn the left knob clockwise or counterclockwise to increase or decrease the fan speed. Turn the knob all the way counterclockwise to turn the front system off. In this mode, the system automatically selects outside air. Recirculation cannot be selected when in Floor Mode. The right knob can also be used to select defog or defrost mode. You can select different temperature settings for the driver and all passengers. Display Function Each time the temperature, mode, or fan control buttons are pressed the display shows that. The temperature can be adjusted even if the system is turned off.Use the driver’s or passenger’s temperature buttons to adjust the temperature setting as necessary. Press the up arrow to increase fan speed and the down arrow to decrease fan speed. The air conditioning compressor also comes on when this mode is activated. Do not cover the solar sensor or the system will not work properly. The interior temperature sensor located on the instrument panel to the right of the steering column, measures the temperature of the air inside the vehicle.

The system may also supply cooler air to the side of the vehicle facing the sun. The system can be controlled from the front controls as well as the rear controls. To turn the system on, press the AUX button on the front climate control system, an indicator will be lit. The pictures help to locate them. Warning lights and gages can signal that something is wrong before it becomes serious enough to cause an expensive repair or replacement. Paying attention to the warning lights and gages could also save you or others from injury. You will know how fast you are going, about how much fuel you have used, and many other things you will need to know to drive safely and economically. The odometer shows how far your vehicle has been driven, in either miles or kilometers. Your vehicle has a tamper-resistant odometer. If your vehicle needs a new odometer installed, the new one will be set to the mileage total of the old odometer. This would only occur if the passenger airbag is enabled. Have your vehicle serviced right away. CAUTION: If the airbag readiness light stays on after you start your vehicle, it means the airbag system may not be working properly. Your instrument panel has a passenger airbag status indicator. United States When you start the vehicle, the passenger airbag status indicator will light ON and OFF, or the symbol for on and off, for several seconds as a system check. It should go out once the engine is running. If it stays on, or comes on while you are driving, you may have a problem with the charging system. The light will stay on if your parking brake does not release fully. If it stays on after your parking brake is fully released, it means you have a brake problem. Then start the engine again to reset the system. If the light still stays on, or comes on again while you are driving, your vehicle needs service. If the regular brake system warning light is not on, you still have brakes, but you do not have antilock brakes.

If this happens you should pull over and turn off the engine as soon as possible. See Engine Overheating on page 400 for more information. Notice: Driving with the engine coolant temperature warning light on could cause your vehicle to overheat. A CHECK TIRE PRESSURE Driver Information Center (DIC) message will accompany the light. If the light does not come on, have it repaired. If so, reinstall the fuel cap, making sure to fully install the cap. See Filling the Tank on page 381. The diagnostic system can determine if the fuel cap has been left off or improperly installed. Failure to pass this inspection could prevent you from getting a vehicle registration. Here are some things you need to know to help your vehicle pass an inspection: Your vehicle will not pass this inspection if the check engine light is on or not working properly. It goes off once you start your engine. That is a check to be sure the light works. The DIC has different displays which can be accessed by pressing the DIC buttons located on the instrument panel. See Instrument Panel Overview on page 170 for more information. This display allows the system to be turned on or off.To re-learn the tire positions, see Tire Pressure Monitor System on page 433. See Tire Inspection and Rotation on page 438 and DIC Warnings and Messages on page 239 for more information. This display shows the current distance traveled in either miles (mi) or kilometers (km) since the last reset for each trip odometer. Both trip odometers can be used at the same time. Pressing the trip odometer reset stem will also display the trip odometers. This is because different driving conditions produce different fuel economies. This average is calculated based on the various vehicle speeds recorded since the last reset of this value. This display shows the current distance traveled in either miles (mi) or kilometers (km) since the last reset for each trip odometer. Both trip odometers can be used at the same time.

34mm), and the exhaust-valve diameter increased a substantial 7 percent to 30mm (vs. 28mm). With a bore-stroke ratio of 1.2:1, the design yields a torquey powerplant that produces maximum horsepower at 6000 rpm-500 rpm below the older design. The result is more efficient combustion (for increased power and lower emissions) as well as longer engine life. And with the addition of Honda’s trouble-free Keihin EFI system-proven in the top-of-the-line Rincon-engine performance is maximized across a broad range of operating conditions, including cold weather and changing altitudes. The spent gasses are exhausted through a stainless-steel header and a 4.8-liter canister-one liter larger than the TRX350’s-to minimize backpressure and ensure quiet operation. Since the oil cooler was no longer needed it was eliminated, saving weight. Power is transmitted to the driving wheels through a durable clutch that now has seven friction plates instead of six. A beefy five-speed gearbox with an ultra-low First gear and Reverse makes sure the right gear is available at all times. Made popular on the first-generation Rancher series and the Foreman 450 ES before it,electric shifting is simply and precisely accomplished with just the press of an upshift or downshift button mounted on the left handlebar. Gear-engagement speed varies according to rider style: The transmission shifts more quickly when riding style turns sporty. A Neutral lockout at speeds greater than 2 mph ensures available engine braking when descending hills. To maintain smooth shifting, the transmission cannot be shifted from Neutral to First gear or Reverse at engine speeds above 3000 rpm. ESP is incredibly durable and not battery-dependent, operating whenever the engine is running. Should the rider ever need to shift manually, he or she can use an auxiliary shift lever equipped in the toolkit. When it debuted for 2003 on the FourTrax Rincon, TraxLok was an immediate hit with riders.

After all, for ranchers, farmers, hunters, and utility and industrial users, the Honda Rancher has become the perfect tool for the job at hand. Yet the Honda Way demands a constant process of improvement, and in the case of Honda’s bread-and-butter Rancher models, the time had come to build a better tool. The result? A healthy infusion of technology has produced a new class leader that sacrifices none of the essential value-oriented goodness of the TRX350 line. The major changes include: The engineers wisely began with a longitudinally mounted engine layout, an exclusive Honda design that first appeared on the multipurpose Foreman 400. By positioning the engine’s crankshaft and output shaft in line with the driveshaft, this Honda signature configuration achieves very high efficiency. Compared to conventional designs, the new 420cc Rancher mill retains more power en route to the driving wheels by avoiding additional high-friction 90-degree gearsets. The intake-valve diameter is now 1mm larger than before (35mm vs.

I play right next to empire axes all day and my team member with a dm7 has used my spare pmr on multiple occasions and loves it.I do recommend lubing the bolt every time before or after you play, much like any dye marker the proto's require being well lubed or you will experience a first ball drop which will immediately stop after lubing. Last week I did shoot 8000 balls in the course of 14 games in a day and still a spotless bolt. I also own 15 other markers and this is my favorite though I am looking to pick up a jt impulse very soon that may change my mind. The composite frame was much more durable than anticipated Board settings are incredible for a budget gun.

When coupled with a UL frame, new eyes and a new bolt, you have a fairly competitive set up. Not a terrible way to enter the speed ball market, but if you want to have a reliable back up or primary, the stock bolt needs to be tossed immediately (preferably out of a moving car window whilst crossing bridge over moving water). The only gun I've paid full retail price and for nostalgia's sake I can't bring myself to sell it. Thought the bolt does have a decent amount of orings overall the gun is very trouble-free and easy to maintain. It's a very smooth shooter once broken in and with my eignenbarrel on it the gun is extremely quiet. At the prices these run for today it's a no-brainer in my opinion to pick one up for cheap. Throw a UL frame and a clamping feedneck on there and you're good to go. Only negative aspect of this gun is that it is very low in the efficiency department. Otherwise, a great gun.
